Gleeds delivers Phase 1 of Blueprint’s homes at Nottingham’s Trent Basin

Gleeds has recently completed work as cost manager on Phase 1 of Blueprint’s £250 million residential development, Trent Basin.

Located on a former industrial site to the east of Nottingham city centre on the banks of the River Trent, the waterside neighbourhood is made up of contemporary, low-energy houses and apartments. Phase 1 comprised a total of 45 homes, including 10 waterside apartments, all of which incorporate high quality insulation and are constructed to strict airtightness standards, performing up to 30% better than building regulation requirements.

The development is surrounded by water and green space, promoting healthy living and sustainability which has proven popular with a range of home buyers, including young professionals and growing families. 50% of the properties from the initial phase have now been reserved and designs for Phase 2 are in the advanced stages of planning.

Anthony Cork, Director for Gleeds Nottingham, said: “It is fantastic to see the transformation of this prime Nottingham site which has remained derelict for many years. The completion of the first stage of this sustainable development at Trent Basin not only promotes low-energy living, but also provides a stylish new community whilst embracing Nottingham’s industrial heritage. We look forward to working with Blueprint on future phases which are due to complete in spring 2018”.
