Aleja Bielany, Wrocław

Playing a key role in the modernisation and extension of Poland’s largest retail park.

Gleeds was appointed by IKEA Centres Poland to cost and project manage the modernisation and extension of Bielany Shopping Centre, near Wrocław.

More than just a shopping centre

With a new floor area of approximately 145,000m2 this retail development is now the biggest shopping centre in Poland. In addition to 200 stores, visitors now have access to a brand new cinema and restaurant space, offering a wide range of alternatives for leisure and business.

With a name to remember

The shopping centre has been renamed after Aleja Bielany (Avenue Bielany) which is Wroclaw’s equivalent of world-famous high streets destinations such as Fifth Avenue in New York, and des Champs Elysées in Paris.

Built by a hand-picked team

Gleeds provided project management, cost management, and quality inspections services. Due to the scale and complexity of this project, our team of 30 consultants were split in 2 specialist groups. The first took care of the new-built construction section, while the second team coordinated the refurbishment of the existing building.
